“FROM SOHO DOWN TO BRIGHTON I MUST HAVE PLAYED ‘EM ALL”
This is my earliest musical memory. My Dad may have helped bring me into this world, helped me with my homework, gave me my first football and had a go at teaching me to be a grown-up, but the greatest thing he ever did for me? He started playing me The Who before I was out of nappies. In fact I have no memories of any nursery rhymes, just of Little Richard, The Rolling Stones (see our Satisfaction T-shirt) and The Who, and for whatever reason, Pinball Wizard was the track that stuck earliest. So you can keep your Baa Baa Black Sheep and give me Pinball Wizard any day.
