Toots and the Maytals 5446 Thats My Number T-shirt

The accepted origins of the number "54-46" is that it was Toots Hibbert's own prison number after he did time for marijuana possession. However, like so many widely accepted notions, this one isn't true. Hibbert has repeatedly dismissed the story & says that while he was set up for a drugs charge he says he didn't commit, he went to any of Jamaica's notorious correctional centres, rather a few weeks in a soldier camp. According to Hibbert he just "made up a number". Either way, 54-46 That's My Number is a reggae classic that certainly evokes a man's time on the inside - hence the inspiration for this Toots & the Maytals T-shirt.
