I don’t think anyone will be offended by the suggestion that Sid Vicious was not what you would call a great musician. Punk Icon, yes. Talented musician, errr… not exactly. But who cares? Sid Vicious was the drugged and disorderly poster boy that punk so desperately needed. The likes of John Lydon and Joe Strummer were of course the talents of the scene, but in Sid Vicious, we had proof that anyone could get on stage.
