Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee have hooked up with Mick Mars and were on the prowl for a singer. They weren’t too sure exactly what they wanted but they figured they’d know when they saw him. So off they trot to the Starwood in Hollywood to see a chap that Tommy had gone to school with sing for his party covers band, Rock Candy. Then with a big “Woooaaahhhh” and massive “Yeaaaahhhhhh” the Sunset Strip was changed forever, new standards of decadence were to be set, the GDP of Peru would sky rocket and a few years later so was the publishing industry as a new standard was set for rock biographies.
