Gimme Three Steps - Little Brown Jug

"I was cutting the rug at a place called the Jug" sang Ronnie Van Zant. The Jug in question being the long since closed Little Brown Jug in the Riverside district of Lynyrd Skynyrd's home town of Jacksonville Florida. However according to Gary Rossington, the incident of Ronnie being threatened at gun point (a .44) by a lean, mean, big & bad man for dancing with with his beloved Linda-Lou actually took place elsewhere in Jacksonville at the West Tavern (now The Pastime). But who cares about such details when the result is the Southern Rock classic, Gimme Three Steps and our Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirt that it inspired.
