Even with just one full album to draw from, choosing a Jeff Buckley lyric to honour was a thankless task - so we chose a Leonard Cohen one instead.... So sublime was every track on Jeff Buckley's Grace, that we could have just stuck a pin in the lyric book and we would have struck gold. So why this one? Because even through it was laughing Lenny that wrote Hallelujah, Jeff Buckley gave it such a unique feel that was 100% his own, that it seemed to sum up the late genius better than most, because if you need faith that music can cure so very many of today's ills, then Jeff Buckley is the proof you needed. Few will know what your Jeff Buckley T-shirt is on about... which makes it even better.
