The Isle of Man has seen a lot of great races, but surely nothing quite like the 1967 Senior TT. Mike the Bike vs Ago. Honda vs MV Augusta. England vs Italy. The two greatest riders of them all going head to head in the greatest race the Island has ever seen. Lap record after lap record fell. Both riders were beset with mechanical issues, but nothing could detract from the near gladiatorial nature of their battle. All the way to final lap they fought, until Agostini suffered a broken chain and the bike world was denied the finish truly befitting the Race of the Century.
