An Ian Dury T-shirt in honour of Mr Sex & Drugs & Rock n Roll himself. Catshit Mansions, or to give it's correct title, Oval Mansions may not be there any more in its original form, but its spirit lives on in so much of the Blockheads' work - most specifically on the Stiff classic, New Boots & Panties - which was pretty much entirely written in Ian Dury's less than lovely flat there. I know Dury's co-writter, The Blockhead's Steve Nugent was American, but can you think of a more intrinsically English album? Lyrically, musically and even with a Woolworths sign reflected on the New Boots & Panties album cover, this was Ian Dury as a true London hero.
