It is all too easy to dismiss Hemingway as macho bullshit. Known by later generations more for his hunting, drinking and fishing, than as one of the America�s greatest authors. Winston Churchill once started a letter with the line �I am sorry to write such a long letter. I didn't have time to write a shorter one�, well, Hemingway obviously had the time. Not a single wasted word, yet nothing is left unexplained or under described. Hemingway took less than 100 pages to write Old Man & The Sea; Jeffrey Archer wasted nearly 500 on Kane & Able � I will let you decide which one was the genius.
