Paintings update

With the paintings up and starting to sell, we have hot upon a small glitch... postage top outside of the UK is horrific - ranging from £25 to Europe to £50 to Australia. This is down to the freight companies trying to charge for what they call 'volumetric weight' which means that despite the package weighing only 1.5kgs when packed, they want to change us for anywhere between 6 and 9 kgs.

We are working on a solution to this, so if you are outside the UK, and want a painting, you can either wait until we have something sorted, or pay whatever the cost price is at the time of purchase.

PAINTINGS FOR SALE

As previously mentioned, our new artist in residence, Tom Bloomfield has produced a range of limited edition paintings exclusively for sale at BathroomWall. Limited to just 50 each, these hand painted box canvases are 2 foot by 2 foot and even if we do say so ourselves, looking bloody ace.

The initial run sees paintings of Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Slash, Morrissey and Bon Scott.

We have dozens more on their way, so keep an eye out.

Just one note, as the paintings are all produced by hand and to order (rather than prints), colours will vary slightly.

Bye by Max.... Hello Tom

Everyone at the Bathroom is sad to see Max leave. After loyal service and so much help in growing BathroomWall and SRnR from a back room operation into the thriving business it is today, she has decided that life in the basement printing T-shirts is not for her and she has gone back to her love of working with kids.

As you could imagine, losing such a valued member of staff is always a pisser, but I set about looking for someone new. After 60plus letters and emails from the great unwashed requesting the job - I shit you not, I even had one email application that red "Alright mate, if that job is still going I wud (sic) be up for it. Give us a call and I can come in" Nothing quite like selling yourself... anyway....

One morning a ray of sunshine arrived in the form of a CV from Tom Bloomfield - an established artist and illustrator looking for some extra work. After snapping his arm off when he agreed to join us, we soon got him up to speed printing your T-shirts as then got him to start work on some paintings for exclusive sale on BathroomWall. He already sells a number through Joe Browns, but the line he has come up with for us add a splash of colour and will not be available anywhere else.

So a warm welcome to Tom.
